Swiss Cottage tower Essential Living

The proposed tower block in 100 Avenue Road

• WE welcome the ruling by planning inspectors who, earlier this month, upheld Camden Council’s decision to reject Essential Living’s revised plans to remove all affordable housing from the 100 Avenue Road development.

Camden Council strives to make Camden an inclusive place to live by providing genuinely affordable housing to tackle overcrowding and homelessness, and our community is all the stronger for it.

As this decision demonstrates, developers cannot be allowed to introduce changes late in the planning process which prioritise profit over inclusivity.

We are proud of the diversity of the neighbourhood we seek to represent around Swiss Cottage and Primrose Hill.

As candidates we will work with The Winch Community Centre and local residents to ensure the 100 Avenue Road development plays a key role in enhancing both our built environment and our local community, as befits its prominent position.
