We want Talacre Town Green to escape a ‘metallic outlook’

Thursday, 9th March 2017

• TALACRE Town Green is a sensitive area where works (green gyms) on common land need the consent of the secretary of state under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006.

Accordingly, before local residents become despondent because the Camden parks’ people seem to be racing ahead without coherent consultation and timely publicity, they will have their chance to make known their views when the application for development arises.

Elsewhere appeals on town greens have led to planning inspectors rejecting development as unnecessary eyesores.

In those cases reference (COM 3154237 North Norfolk) was made to metal posts and galvanised stock netting. Here we want an informed discussion to ensure the town green escapes a metallic outlook with yet another green gym.
