We need to take advantage of the water we have surrounding us
Thursday, 18th August 2022
• HERE we are again, with hosepipe bans and the familiar (well not too familiar) reports of falling levels in water supplies.
Government can find billions upon billions to build a disputed rail link to the midlands, yet here we are, surrounded by the sea, somehow unable to plan or produce desalination plants to take advantage of all that water around our shores, not least when we have had the “climate change” narrative to enable the expense, the action and the outcome.
Am I missing something? If rich people can get richer by allowing stop / start windmills on their land, then I’d like to think desalination offers better value to the public.
