• ELIMINATING traffic islands on busy Prince of Wales Road is insane. Park users going to and from Talacre Town Green, residents crossing the road to Costcutter, kids going to and from the Talacre sports centre and home, travellers from the Overground station, mothers with prams and the elderly, will be expected to negotiate heavy traffic without any safe place to stop from one side of the road to the other.

One does not have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how dangerous this will be.The other crazy idea of allowing cyclists to cycle on the footpath is as barmy as can be. Can we please have some common sense and leave Prince of Wales alone if you cannot come up with a more sensible scheme?
