We need information and a meeting on the Pears building development

Thursday, 17th August 2017

• THANKS goes to Linda Chung for her letter (Outcry over land-grab, August 10) voicing her concerns and highlighting constant changing plans for Hampstead Green and path which have been under threat from the developers of the new Pears building.

Residents have had to live with the destruction and mess in this general area for far too long. Developers starting work before they have permission; not communicating professionally with the residents of the area; it’s a saga which has been very underhand and we look to our local Conservative councillors to represent their constituents’ needs by holding a general meeting in September, when families are back from holidays, to advise us.

I suggest a large board up on the site with a timescale telling us what and when things are happening. This is an area where families scoot through constantly on their journeys to school, an important area where folk sit and relax. Camden have no right to interfere in this location at all without full consultation.

I look forward to a reply in the New Journal, for all to read, with contact details, from the council and councillors – to give us all true information.
