‘We need help from the police and council to keep Pandian Way safe’

• A NEIGHBOUR, her children, and I have cleaned up Pandian Way in Camden Town.

We have not had any street cleaning since before lockdown earlier this year. We are once again doing it ourselves.

Pandian Way is often used for drug dealing so we had to be careful what we picked up. In fact a young man came by and retrieved a package from the bushes.

He looked very concerned we were using litter pickers to clean up the litter. We have written to police and council.

We are proud to keep where we live clean and tidy however we need help from the police and council to keep Pandian Way safe.

Moped riders use it as a cut-through and last Thursday, when leaving the front door on to Pandian Way, I was knocked over by a guy on a moped.

I was ok, just shaken and glad I had no children with me. This area needs some help, we can’t do it all ourselves.

The police are aware that knives and drugs are being pushed into the bushes. Simple answer – remove the unsightly vegetation from the edges of the park so this can’t be used for crime.
