We need cameras to enforce the 20mph speed limit

Thursday, 12th July 2018

• ANTI-SKID surfacing has recently been laid at the approaches to crossings on Mill Lane. Presumably this has been done to enable those driving at 50mph or 60mph (quite usual) to stop without skidding into people crossing.

Of course, were those driving at 50 or 60mph driving within the 20mph speed limit such an extravagance would have been completely unnecessary.

Tim Stockton is right, (The 20mph speed limit needs to be enforced, July 5). It’s time for Camden to stop the pussy-footing over this matter and start installing a few cameras.

They’ll soon make their money back. Anti-skid surfaces? Really!
