We need answers on the plans for the Royal Free Hospital and Chase Farm transfers
Thursday, 22nd November 2018
• JOHN Lipetz’s letter is the latest in a string of about the transport difficulties of patients whose treatment has been transferred to Chase Farm, (Questions to the Royal Free on Chase Farm, November 15).
I first raised this issue with the chair of the council’s health scrutiny committee, Cllr Alison Kelly, in mid-August. So far as I am aware there have been no public statements from the hospital chair of governors, Sir David Sloman, the council or the local NHS commissioning group. Why?
All that is being sought is a shuttle bus service, the arrangements for which are hardly rocket science. Has anybody tried seeking sponsorship from one of the multi-nationals that have moved into King’s Cross?
Perhaps somebody can explain to readers what they are doing to resolve the issue and why it’s taking so long. There is little use of having “state-of-the-art” facilities in Chase Farm if patients cannot access them.
