HS2 pollution: ‘Do we really have to just stand by and watch people being affected on a daily basis?’

• AS a resident on the Ampthill Square Estate in Mornington Crescent, I am concerned about the amount of pollution that the construction of HS2 is creating.

There is so much dust being created, that it is has created breathing and eye-soreness problems for many residents.

HS2 promised residents that they would instal extra protection to windows to ensure they would be protected from pollution.

I find it incomprehensible that this government has claimed to have launched a world leading plan to tackle air pollution when they pushed for yet another project, that is causing so many health issues.

Do we really have to just stand by and watch people being affected on a daily basis?
