We face an obstacle course on the pavements

Thursday, 15th April 2021

• I AM writing in response to the correspondent complaining about cars being issued with parking tickets for parking outside the white lines on the pavements on Chetwynd Road, (The council have used PCNs to fine us rather than talk about the problems on the road, April 1).

When cars park in this way it is impossible for a disabled person with a companion to walk along this road. Even with parking on the pavement within the prescribed lines, with overgrown hedges it is a struggle to walk up this road.

I am glad that Camden is taking action against this pavement parking menace.

To add to this pavement parking nuisance, we are now faced with charging leads for electric cars draped over the pavements creating a trip hazard. Going for a stroll in the area is becoming an assault course.
