• WITH reference to Lisa Cawley’s January 28 letter (There’s a deficit – here are some suggestions for the council), and her ideas about saving money – who doesn’t need money these days?

Maybe Camden Council could reduce the number of councillors. Three per ward is far too many. I have often wondered why councillors never answer messages? They are never around when needed. They only seem to be available for photo-shoots.

And do we really need a mayor? It’s an extravagance the council can ill afford. The council should not live beyond their means.
