• THE Highgate Society‘s community projects group would like to thank everybody that has supported our work this year, in particular our monthly litter tidy-up events and our “guerrilla gardening” events.

We are particularly pleased that we have just been awarded a grant by the Veolia sustainability fund to allow us to buy seeds, bulbs and gardening equipment.

We put some of this to good use on Saturday when we had our most recent gardening event (see above). Volunteers planted bulbs and seeds along a number of verges and open areas and we look forward to seeing the results next spring.

Our aim is to have a long-term impact and provide the opportunity for residents to get out in the fresh air and make a positive contribution to our environment.
