We are opposed to traffic changes planned for Phoenix Road & Ossulston Street
Thursday, 6th April 2023
• THE following local organisations and businesses on Phoenix Road have all lodged individual oppositions to the council’s proposed traffic changes to Phoenix Road and Ossulston Street: Lifeafterhummus, Euston Foodbank, St Aloysius Convent, Food4All, The Cock Tavern and St Aloysius RC Church.
This on the basis that the scheme will make it harder for us to receive deliveries, force us to have to drive longer than necessary creating more carbon emissions in the area, cut off access to off-street parking and make it difficult for hearses to access the church for funeral services.
The new parklet on Phoenix Road has already caused unnecessary anti-social behaviour and noise nuisance. This project should not be at the expense of local businesses, organisations and residents.
