We are losing out with heating and compensation
Thursday, 1st March 2018
• I WOULD like to know why Camden Council are operating a two-tier system regarding their heating rebate on the Rowley estate because of loss of heating.
People on this estate who suffered the same loss of heating / hot water were given up to £126.30 with a one-bed property. But I have received £26.79.
Given that I have a two-bed property, this seems a huge difference. We all had extra costs involved in paying for extra heating.
At a tenants’ meeting held with contractors GEM and two members of Camden Council, we were told that no one would be out of pocket.
I fail to see how this is fair. Some of us have had more extra heating costs for a bigger property.
We have just had the same problems for three days and had problems contacting the emergency phone number for the estate.
The phone went unanswered all Saturday morning. Each phone call made was then cut off after 26 seconds with no response at all.
