Tube closure is damaging

• I WAS excited to see the “exclusive” tag on your front page (July 25) “Inside shut tube station” because that’s what New Journal “exclusive” pieces usually mean.

Turning to page seven, I was amazed to see what could only be described as a “puff piece” for Transport for London and its Kentish Town tube station project bosses.

They’d be very happy with the article, a classic public relations story.

Not one critical question and not one new piece of information in the article (that is, I note that the Mayor of London wrote to all local residents that very day with the identical messages… we are not going to tell you what is going on or when your station will ever reopen).

Why has it taken 18 months to replace a relatively new escalator?

When are the CNJ and local politicians going to wake up to the damage the closure of Kentish Town tube is doing?
