• AT next week’s local election the big concern for residents is how the council actually makes decisions that affect us all.

How are these decisions made and who really makes them? Will our councillors be brave enough to act in our interests?

Will we, the residents, be consulted or will an élite group of cabinet councillors follow political or central government edicts issued with little true concern for the views of residents?

Voters are responsible to our community too. I hope we vote wisely.
