Camden United beat LBS Lions 4-1 in the Middlesex County League’s Alec Smith Premier Division Cup
WHAT a week it has been for the players from Camden United.
Fresh from calls urging new supporters to start showing up on matchdays to cheer on the club, the men’s first-team did their talking on the pitch.
United highlighted just why they are worth watching on Saturday when two goals from Bruno Lee Khan, along with strikes from Mohammed Hassan and Tomasz Siemienczuk, sealed a 4-1 victory over LBS Lions in the Middlesex County League’s Alec Smith Premier Division Cup.
The big win came just days after Camden came from 2-0 down at half-time to draw 2-2 with London Samurai Rovers in the Middlesex County FA Premier Cup, before winning on penalties. Again Lee Khan was on target in normal time, alongside a fine finish from teammate Romario Godfrey-Brown.
“What a fantastic week it has been,” said Camden United co-founder Hafid Ali.
“The boys showed great resilience against London Samurai Rovers, a team from a higher division, and then were dominate against LBS Lions. It was certainly a proud week for the club.”
