A TEAM of parents have found a more hands-on approach to stopping their children’s “sedentary lifestyle” after bringing their sons together to form a futsal team.

The Brazilian-styled football encourages players to pass and move and take more touches of the ball, and is seen as the ideal way to keep youngsters focused and active.

Synthia Stuart, whose son Xavier is one of only six players signed up for newly-formed side Goswell Athletic, said:

“We only formed the team about 10 weeks ago and desperately need new players to keep the side going.

“It’s great fun and I urge parents from across Camden and Islington to join us.”

Goswell Athletic are based at the Calthorpe Project in King’s Cross.

They are searching for players aged between eight and 11. Anyone interested should email: sacafete@yahoo.com
