Trucks are travelling too fast on our roads and it’s only a matter of time before someone is killed

• A FEW days after the tragic death of a pedestrian in Hampstead Road (‘Why did she die at a road crossing?’ February 16), I was walking on the pavement on Camden Road with my daughter.
We had reached the brow of the hill and we walking down into Camden passing the skateboard park on the opposite side of the road.
A construction lorry came hurtling passed us at around 60 miles an hour. My daughter was walking near the kerb so I quickly pulled her towards me fearing she might have been sucked under.
Trucks travel too fast on our roads. It is only a matter of time before one mounts the pavement and kills someone else.
They should not be on the road at busy times of the day.
If I could have caught that driver I would have had words with him.
There needs to be some enforcement around when they are allowed to be on our roads.
