Tributes pour in for Jim Sharp

TRIBUTES were pouring in for much-respected Chalk Farm Pool League member Jim Sharp this week after the former doubles’ champion passed away, aged 82.

Jim who lived in Swiss Cottage, played well into his 70s and was credited with keeping the Imperial Pool League going for several seasons when the previous regime stepped down.

Described as “a jovial and happy man”, Jim was known for his massive love of Scalextric and was a member of the Burnt Oak Slot Car Club.
He died in his sleep on St Patrick’s Day.

His funeral will take place at Golders Green Crematorium in Hoop Lane, NW11, at noon today (Thursday).
