Traffic schemes need consultation and careful thought
Thursday, 30th September 2021
• THE three September 23 letters (from William Silver, Pat Solomon and Sue John) explained exactly what the problem will be if any alteration to traffic through Chetwynd Road is even consulted on, let alone the effect such a scheme might have on other adjoining areas.
Just south of Dartmouth Park is just such a vulnerable location. Burghley and Lady Somerset roads already suffer some through-traffic and could become the replacement for Chetwynd. Camden Council’s consultation process is often purely lip service to local residents. Even so, consultation must include all the neighbouring locations and be carefully considered.
