Camden Town WFC stars Kelly Faye, Gemma Clenshaw and Megan Kapadia meet young fans after more than 100 supporters turned out at the Maurice Rebak Stadium [Sophia Demetriades]

THE feel-good factor at Camden Town WFC was in full swing on Sunday when they continued their perfect start to the season with a superb 5-1 victory over Actonians Reserves.

More than 100 supporters turned out at the Maurice Rebak Stadium in North Finchley to cheer Town on to their seventh straight win.

And they certainly had plenty of cause to celebrate as forward Maria Paz Vera bagged a brace, while Hannah Goffi, Kelly Faye and Ginny Somers also all found the back of the net.

Even conceding their first goal of the campaign wasn’t enough to dampen the spirits – especially after Goffi marked a special moment in Camden colours. “I was really excited to come off the bench and get my first goal for the club,” said the midfielder.

“It was lovely to see and feel the reaction from the crowd when it went in.”

The result leaves Camden third in Division One North of the London & South East Regional League, four points behind early leaders Dulwich Hamlet Reserves with three games in hand.
