TOTTENHAM Hotspur have ended their search for a new manager by appointing Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The 42 year-old has signed a five year contract at White Hart Lane, replacing Tim Sherwood who was sacked earlier this month.

Pochettino told the Spurs website: "This is a club with a tremendous history and prestige and I am honoured to have been given this opportunity."
