THE silverware has been settled and the winners’ names can finally be etched on the trophies following a dramatic night of action in the Chalk Farm Pool League.

Top potters from Camden and Islington took to the tables at the King’s Cross Hurricanes’ Rooms on Monday for a fantastic five-frame finals night.
And hosts the Hurricanes were among the teams celebrating as star player Rupe Ward beat Rob Blunt from Reilly’s Kentish Town 3-2 to win the Singles’ Trophy.

The Hurricanes were denied the chance to double their celebrations, however, when pairing Tony Bradbury and Andy Baker were beaten 3-1 by Prince of Wales Kilburn duo Nicky Campbell and Stephen Moriarty in the doubles final.

Meanwhile Gloucester Globetrotter Paul Smith won the Captains’ Trophy, John Healey from Prince of Wales Kilburn won the Governor’s Cup and Boston Arms potter Roy Cooper landed the senior’s title.
