A FINE top order performance from Robert Jones, Ben Scott and James Cameron helped steer Hampstead to their second victory of the season in Division One of the Middlesex County Cricket League on Saturday.
The team travelled to Twickenham on the back of a decent win against Finchley last week and continued their run of form.
They beat the hosts by seven wickets to move into second in the top division.
Mubasher Hassan took three wickets as the hosts opted to bat first and were dismissed for 148 in 47 overs.
Skipper Steve Clark departed relatively early with 19, but Jones and Scott both hit 42 and Cameron made 43 not out as Hampstead cruised to 149-3.
• In Division Two North Middlesex were all out for 133 at home to Harrow, who won by 37 runs.
• In Division Three South Hampstead sit bottom after losing to Kenton by six wickets, while Highgate remain on the tail of North London after a nine-wicket win.
Highgate’s Syed Muazam Ali and Edward Binns hit 47 and 39 not out respectively to finish 105 for 1 after North were 103 all out from 39.1 overs.
