TWO pupils were honoured for their sporting efforts on Monday during a special assembly at their school in Camden Road.

Nadumba Lomodong and Ellie Doolan were the toast of their classmates after they were presented with the Camden School for Girls’ Sportswomen-of-the-Year Award for their contribution to school sport throughout the academic year.

Talented dancer Nadumba, 13, performed at the Camden Dance Festival, The Camden and Islington Borough Showcase and Step Live at Sadler’s Wells. She was also a member of the school’s netball and volleyball teams.

Meanwhile Ellie is an excellent middle-distance runner and has represented Camden School for Girls and her borough in countless athletics and cross-country competitions.

The speedy 15-year-old, who trains with the Highgate Harriers, has also been selected to represent London in the English Schools Cross-Country Championships.
