PREMIER potters from Sir Robert Peel were the toast of the town on Monday night when they won the Liam Tarrant Cup to complete a delightful double.
Having already captured the Division One title in the Chalk Farm Pool League, the triumphant team beat the King’s Cross Hurricanes 5-1 to clinch the cup at the Boston Arms in Tufnell Park.
Players from Islington’s Green Man were also cheering after pocketing a double success of their own. The pub in Essex Road were crowned Division Two champions and won their Divisional Cup.
There was also joy for players from the King’s Cross Hurricanes who captured the League One Divisional Cup with a 5-3 victory over the King’s Cross Hawks.
