To those we owe a debt, thank you!
Thursday, 11th February 2021
• IN another week of lockdown it feels urgent to say thank you to two groups in our community.
First, to Jackie and her colleagues at University College Hospital who vaccinated me with great charm, efficiency and kindness.
The whole process, including recovery time, took less than 20 minutes and I left with a lapel sticker and the offer of a picture to post on social media if I wished.
Secondly, to all the staff at Morrisons which is closing the doors of its main store in Camden.
In every department and on the check-outs they have worked tirelessly and with remarkable good humour to serve us each day of the past year in the most difficult of circumstances.
We owe them all a considerable debt of gratitude and I wish them well wherever they are redeployed.
