Time to sort out our buses

‘We used to be able to depend on a four-an-hour bus service’
• WE have a huge amount of disruption in the area because of the diversion of 268 and 46 buses due to High Speed 2 work in the Finchley Road, Swiss Cottage.
Those of us who can’t consult information online have no idea of the diversions and alternative routes. The bus timings app does not give this information.
Apparently the disruption is set to go on for weeks, so would it not be possible to put a notice up at the affected bus stops? I have often had to inform passengers, including tourists waiting at these stops, in vain.
On another point, there is a bus stop F – College Crescent towards Hampstead and Golders Green – with a “closed” sign on it despite there no longer being roadworks at the site.
There is absolutely no reason why buses can’t stop there, and the more helpful and sensible bus drivers already stop to pick up or let off passengers; but there are other “jobsworths” who refuse. To add to this, the next stop in Belsize Lane is also closed, so it is a long walk for anyone elderly or disabled.
Over the past few days the intervals between 268 buses are 26 to 28 minutes. We users of the 268 have grown used to a reduced service at weekends, but this appears to be the case now on weekdays. We used to be able to depend on a four-an-hour service.
