Belsize Village
• THE streatery saga grows more bizarre by the weekly letters!
We now appear to be in Gotham City territory as a (self-appointed) Caped Crusader is obviously alive and well and living in the village square.
Please spare us the look how I’ve revitalised Belsize Village into a place “…more economically vibrant than it has ever been in the modern era” (Milestone day for Belsize Village, August 20).
This is not an example of society working together and becoming more powerful through the streatery revitalisation efforts. This is a few tables and chairs occupying what was once our community square.
Constant bragging about the cleanliness of the village is also ludicrous. It took numerous complaints from residents before the rotting food and waste pouring out of streatery bins was contained.
As previous letters have noted, this is a residential area, a small community for local people.
This is a time when we need to be reaching out and helping the vulnerable. Many residents are still asking what that £30,000 grant is being used for?
Time for the myths to end and our village restored to its former peace and harmony.
