Tardis in Belsize Park
• I OCCASIONALLY travel to Belsize Park for a change of scenery. The shops are interesting, the pavements are wide with mature trees, and there is plenty of parking – not!
This time I found myself in a marinade of railings with signage all over the place. Both bus stops are not in use, although the northbound buses are stopped by a traffic light at the bus stop, no one can enter for that necessary journey to the Royal Free Hospital.
I was astonished to find a Camden notice with a full list of the parking changes. I got to 60 or 70 sites with car spaces being done away with.
At this point I had to stop counting but I did notice that the process had started on November 23. Where was the consultation? If there was some the local community did not do very well.
And then there is the Tardis (pictured above). I have my suspicions that this is in fact a loo – with 5G – which is great for the workers but not so good for the rest of us.
Maybe we should all squeeze into the Tardis and head off somewhere infinitely more pleasant with plenty of bushes!
