Officers at Kentish Town Police Station have been collating crime figures for Camden High Street
POLICE have said they are investigating three sexual assaults on women in Camden High Street over a four week period.
The figures for the road relate to January 17 to February 14 this year and only cover the road – and not back streets, the canal towpath or surrounding area.
The breakdown is found in licensing documents prepared for councillors to consider when deciding whether bars and food venues in Camden Town should be allowed to stay open later.
PC Rachel Addis’s report said: “A review of recent crime figures show that in the last 28 days (17th January 2023 – 14th February 2023) there has been 32 crimes recorded to have taken place on Camden High Street between 0000 hours – 0500 hours.
“This includes three sexual assaults on females, one allegation of spiking, six assaults, three robberies, 16 thefts, one possession of cannabis and two possessions of nitrous oxide.”
A separate police said thieves are targeting drunk revellers in the early hours to steal from them when they are intoxicated.
