This school streets plan is unwanted and unnecessary

‘Camden Council wants to restrict vehicles from using Kidderpore Avenue, Kidderpore Gardens and Ferncroft Avenue between 7.45am and 9am and 3pm and 4.15pm’
• CAMDEN Council wants to introduce healthy school streets.
Their plan is to restrict vehicles from using Kidderpore Avenue, Kidderpore Gardens and Ferncroft Avenue between 7.45am and 9am and 3pm and 4.15pm.
There has been an unbelievable amount of objections to the plan from the three roads affected and all the surrounding roads which will become rat-runs.
The council sent out 2,167 GPS tracked flyers but none to any of the blocks of flats on Kidderpore Avenue, which make up more than three-quarters of the road.
The consultation has not been done properly. A judicial review is needed as soon as possible. Also, as usual, Camden give you very little time to respond.
There are many unanswered questions about this scheme: how will residents know when it is school times? What rights will residents have? How quickly will the council grant exemptions?
I understand the schools that are part of the plan are not happy either.
It is high time Camden took note of what its council tax-payers say and cancel this very unwelcome and unnecessary plan.
