‘Plastic should be boycotted and they have certainly lost me as a customer’

• WHAT is happening to the heart of Hamp­stead Village?

One of our prettiest pedestrian streets, Perrins Court, has now become “Plastic Alley” with shops and cafés festooning their doorways with swathes of plastic flowers from coffee shop Ginger & White to the new kid on the block, opticians David Clulow.

If the owners think this is good publicity I have news for them – plastic should be boycotted and they have certainly lost me as a customer as I thought we were being told to cut down on this non-biodegradable substance.
