New cycle parking racks in Kentish Town Road

• I SUPPORT Mireille Burton’s views regarding the new bike stand in the Kentish Town Road, (Pollution has been made worse in Kentish Town Road, December 10).

In addition I would suggest the positioning has created a dangerous hazard, particularly for cyclists. They will now have to pull out into mainstream traffic to pass the obstruction.

I note others have been placed on side roads – a more sensible solution. It seems totally unnecessary to put them on the main highway.

There are a considerable number of bike racks already in the area which are not all regularly full.
