Think of Starbucks and remember Moby Dick

• STARBUCKS’ public image has already been damaged by revelations about its tax affairs.
The company’s outrageous bullying of Nasser Kamali, owner of Star Box (Starbucks vs Star Box, March 16), can only tarnish it again.

Starbucks has frequently taken legal action to protect their name.

That name itself, however, was lifted from the great novel Moby Dick: Starbuck (in turn the name of an old whaling family) is the chief mate. So it would be nice for Starbucks to pay something to Herman Melville’s estate.

A more fitting name for the chain might be Fastbucks.
