• JUST to let you know that Camden Council made a most unusual decision last year to remove all fire extinguishers from communal areas of Mornington Court, based on the advice of a “fire risk assessor”.

Was removal the only remedy if fire extinguishers were defective? These fire extinguishers usually accounted for 44.5 per cent of defects listed in regular fire risk assessments.

Past examples are five water extinguishers have no signs. One was empty, another had no pressure and pin, and seal missing for another one etc.

What Camden should do now is remove the fire extinguisher signs as the place looks peculiar.
