They are destroying trees but still expect to talk about biodiversity

Impression of Brill Place tower in Somers Town
• SADLY the trees are now being felled and cut up in Purchese Open Space, in preparation for the erection of the massive “luxury” tower block at Brill Place.
It is heartbreaking to witness the destruction of these trees and terrible to see the loss of a park – public land – in an area of great deprivation, where very few of us have access to gardens.
It is also galling that it is at precisely this time that Camden Council launches a Twitter consultation on biodiversity, for it seems not to care a jot about access to nature and fresh air in Somers Town.
