These new taxi stands are not fit for purpose

The taxi stands in the former Euston Gardens
• YOUR photographer Simon Lamrock illustrated very well the situation pedestrians and passengers feel confronted by when leaving the buses on a rainy days at Upper Woburn Place opposite the parish church along our Euston Road.
Or… why not have an activity event out at Euston-on-Sea?
My question is this: have the High Speed 2 designers taken this so to heart that they actually decided to design the taxi stands (pictured above) in the former Euston Gardens in the style of a string of colourful beach huts?
Fit for purpose? And functional? Not at all!

Taxis drawing up in their designated lanes will have to be very careful not to open the doors just anywhere, otherwise there could be a danger of hitting the posts along the new kerbside which are designed to hold up the roof of these colourful “creations”.
