There’s now a majority for a people’s vote
Thursday, 23rd August 2018
• SANJOY Sen’s argument centres on whether there could be calls for further referendums by the side which lost, (The people have voted, remember!, August 9).
Such concerns are outweighed by the overwhelming majority of voters wanting a people’s vote, with a recent poll on the second anniversary of the Brexit vote giving a 23-point margin in favour.
And a Best for Britain analysis has just shown that 112 constituencies had switched from Leave to Remain since 2016. Over half of all constituencies now favour remaining in the EU.
We need our politicians to follow voters in realising that whatever the question was, Brexit is not the answer.
