The existing Edmonton incinerator

• THERE is good news this week – an Egyptian teenager has discovered a way to turn plastic waste into alcohol.

Apparently there are no bacteria involved in her process, though other researchers have indeed reported that bacteria have been discovered which consume plastic.

The North London plans to burn waste at a new plant in Edmonton should surely urgently look into these other suggestions for getting benefit rather than more pollution from their processes.
