There’s bags of waste here and it should be cleared up

Friday, 30th July 2021

• ON any morning in Camden you can find hundreds of plastic bags of waste torn open by vermin and the contents strewn across streets and pavements.

This ranges from commercial food waste to domestic waste such as used nappies.

Since street cleansing in Camden is now almost non-existent, the mess lays around for days attracting yet more vermin and giving Camden residents what are among the dirtiest streets in Europe.

Surely, in this 21st century, the council could look at best practice around the world and devise an alternative method of waste collection?

It’s hardly “rocket science”. If they don’t do so on an urgent basis it is a very sad story for the residents of the borough.
