There will be less money in the pot for London after May 6

Sadiq Khan
• WE have seen Transport for London just about on its knees, begging to be bailed out to the tune of £1.8billion.
Sadiq Khan is hoping to be re-elected as the Mayor of London. Isn’t the mayor supposed to be the linchpin that keeps our capital moving?
I accept the fact that due to the devastating impact of coronavirus Covid-19 and the subsequent (much-maligned) lockdown measure TfL lost 90 per cent of its income.
Nevertheless Sadiq Khan was responsible for the way he spent public money and he obviously failed to do that in a way that benefited us.
Whoever is elected on May 6 will have many issues to address, with less money in the pot and so I urge people to think carefully before they cast their votes.
