• THE proposed gym at Talacre Town Green (Letters, February 23) is disturbing because there seems to be no transparency from the parks department.

I am not anti-green gyms but what I am against is that it appears Camden Council have already purchased the gyms, have them in storage, and now need to place them somewhere to justify the expenditure. Before any money is spent surely proper consultation should be carried out.

The community has the right to choose, especially when such a large area of a green space is being redeveloped. The parks are always saying they lack money but when it comes to this green gym all of a sudden they splash out!

If you want to comment you have to email the department, undemocratic! In this community not everyone has a computer. Better to have nothing installed than something that people may or may not want.
