There are more covert proposals coming out!
Friday, 22nd November 2019
• THE New Journal is to be thanked for the extensive article revealing council officers’ covert “proposals” to close Carlton Primary School. Since then we have heard that there are more covert “proposals” to close the children’s centre in Lismore Circus.
These “proposals” follow similar actions by Camden Council to run down Queen’s Crescent Market, force the youth arts project to close for seven months, leave a large building site supposedly destined for new flats by 2017, and. much earlier, to stop the establishment of a Gospel Oak Partnership Board.
It is not merely that Gospel Oak residents are “ignored” as graffiti in the locality states, but we seem to be actively “punished” by officers, especially where we try to make a difference for our troubled area? Why?
No doubt voters in the coming Haverstock ward by-election on December 12 will have a similar question in mind.
