There are facilities for people with dementia and their carers

Thursday, 16th May 2019

• I AM responding to your reader’s letter of May 9, (We must have better facilities for people with dementia).

If you look via Google for activities to do in Camden for people who have dementia and their carers, you will find plenty of opportunities that come up.

It is correct to say that we have moved to another home, but we are still running our HNNC Wellness Café, which is open every Tuesday from 10am to 3pm.

We offer a fun and holistic café, we have a good, healthy, and friendly environment. We are in a community centre and we want to bring in everyone who is part of the community into our centre.

We have fun activities going on, and a session of pampering for the carers as well, we offer nail care and massage for everyone on the day, we also run a mixed service, so not everyone has Dementia, but everyone who wants to join in our activities who comes to centre on a Tuesday is welcome.

We also have people come from all over the Borough, and everyone is welcome. We are also open on a Wednesday and Thursday, and people with dementia and their careers have started to come on other days as well.

You can be referred by a relative, yourself, a friend or a professional. We are based in; Ingestre Community Centre, Ingestre Road, NW5, 0207 272 7201, or 07483145587.
