• WITH reference to the disgraceful exclusion of the CNJ from the Tricycle (aka Kiln) press night event (reported in last week’s paper and then rescinded at the last minute), I’m writing to express my strong support for your paper and your reporter.

The CNJ has been an invaluable and objective commentator on the controversy over the deceitful rebranding of the theatre and it is typical of the management’s approach to label objectivity as hostility, and then climb down when finding itself under pressure.

Apart from scoring a massive own-goal, this example of relations with the media provides a perfect example of how arrogantly and unresponsively the theatre is now being run.
