Bartley Robbins

• I AM writing to you with regards to the report on page 10 of your last issue, (‘Give me a flat’ plea by last man in street HS2 emptied, June 14).

Bartley Robbins is fighting to be rehoused due to no fault of his own and having to fight Camden Council to be rehoused so that he can have a home like the rest of the residents on the street have been allocated.

The vulnerability this poor man must feel at being the last person left on the street just beggars belief. I am appalled and disgusted that in 2018 somebody can be treated this way.

This man goes to work, receives no benefits or hand-outs of any sorts and pays his dues. Had it not been for the ghastly HS2 Mr Robbins would still have some­where to call home.

But instead he is left with the looming prospect of facing homelessness. Shame on you Camden Council.
