• AT its November 10 meeting delegates to Camden Trades Council unanimously approved the following emergency motion in the wake of Jeremy Corbyn MP’s suspension from the Labour Party.

Delegates from affiliated branches of the GMB, NEU, Unison and Unite – all of whom are individual members of constituency Labour parties in London – are supportive of the resolution: “This Trades Council expresses its solidarity with Jeremy Corbyn in the firm belief that his suspension from the Labour Party is completely undeserved.

“As Jeremy is a lifelong campaigner against every sort of racism and anti-Semitism, we call for his reinstatement to the Labour Party. This Trades Council wishes this resolution to be sent to the TUC general council, the TUC general secretary, the Labour Party NEC and the Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.”
