• I RECEIVED a court summons the day after the date of the hearing, sent by Camden’s council tax office.

This is expensive, bullying, and out of order. And so I filed a formal complaint using their usually worthless complaints procedure.

I received a woolly and vague letter which was not clear at all, a demand for a certain sum of money. I asked for a statement, only to receive more woolly responses.

Wondering if they were either trying to hide something or that they did not know what a “statement of account” actually is, I made what I needed very clear.

I have just received a statement which, you’ve guessed it, contained court costs tucked in there for good measure. The complaint continues.
